Rush Olney is the COO and a principal of Secure Capital Research LLC, a U.S. registered broker/dealer and member of FINRA/SIPC. Secure Capital Research LLC is focused on raising equity, preferred equity and other forms of capital for private equity real estate investment funds, value add property acquisitions and real estate development projects.
Prior to joining the team at Secure Capital Research LLC, Rush served five years in the United States Airforce at various U.S. and overseas bases. After his military service he completed his BA in finance and entrepreneurship at the UMKC Bloch school of Business. This led to a position with StateStreet Bank & Trust in Kansas City, as a pricing analyst where he managed several equity and bond funds. While working at StateStreet and pursuing his MBA in International Business and Entrepreneurship, Rush took a position as an equity trader at Tradebot Systems, a high-frequency trading firm in Kansas City, MO. During his eleven years at Tradebot, Rush designed risk management systems, managed trade teams, oversaw strategy development and implementation and fostered outside business relationships with banks and exchanges.
